Trump bombs Iran: why is the right-wing press saying "thank you"?

There is a sense of admiration. The United States, wrote the editorial director of Le Parisien, Nicolas Charbonneau, on Monday, "showed their power and determination. Donald Trump had planned to give himself time, but he preferred to strike hard and fast." In L'Opinion, the editorialist of the day was reassured and even delighted: "No, the American president doesn't always back down." An idea invented, he said, to evoke his threats as well as his retreats "which was shattered" ... This audacity, "neither Bush, nor Obama, nor Biden had it."
But it was right-wing political scientist Dominique Reynié, who regularly sits down on France Inter for breakfast served by Nicolas Demorand, who gave an even stronger version of the situation. In fact, it wasn't just about Iran and Israel, but about putting a stop to the forces challenging the United States and the despotisms that want to bring about a global overthrow. And, if the world avoids this coup, it will owe it to "Donald Trump's decisiveness." We don't thank him.
Since Jaurès, the defense of peace has been in our DNA.
- Who still reports today on the actions of pacifists for disarmament?
- How many media outlets remind us that the struggle for decolonization is still ongoing and that it must be supported?
- How many value international solidarity and unambiguously commit to supporting exiles?
Our values have no boundaries.
Help us support the right to self-determination and the option of peace. I want to know more!
